   Below is an incomplete and in-process chronology of the various religious emblems associated with the Boy Scouts of America. If any one has any documentation concerning a religious emblem that is not noted here, please contact me.

1925

Ad Altare Dei religious emblem developed in the diocese of Los Angeles-San Diego for Catholic Boy Scouts.

1926

Ad Altare Dei presented for the first time to a Boy Scout in Los Angeles.

1939

Catholic Committee approves the Ad Altare Dei as a national religious emblem for Boy Scouts. BSA approves for wear on the BSA uniform the first religious emblem for Boy Scouts.

1943

Lutheran Committee develops the Pro Deo Et Patria religious emblem.

1944

Jewish Committee develops the Ner Tamid religious emblem.

1945

Protestant Committee on Scouting, a committee of the National Council of Churches, develops the God and Country religious emblem.

1948

Christian Scientists develop their standards for the God and Country religious emblem.

1950

LDS develops the Deseret Recognition award for Explorers.

1951

Southern Baptists develop their standards for the God and Country religious emblem.

1952

Committee on Scouting of Southern Baptist church leaders formed.

1952

Parvuli Dei award created in the archdiocese of Washington for Catholic Cub Scouts.

1953

Parvuli Dei presented for the first time to a Cub Scout in Baltimore.

1954

Catholic Committee develops St. George religious emblem for Catholic adults. BSA approves for wear on the BSA uniform the first religious emblem for adult Scouters.

1954

Polish National Catholics develop their standards for the God and Country religious emblem.

1955

Lutheran Committee develops the Lamb award for adults.

1955

Eastern Orthodox develops the Alpha-Omega religious emblem.

1955

LDS replaces the Deseret Recognition Award with the Duty to God religious emblem.

1956

Catholic Committee adopts the Parvuli Dei religious emblem for Catholic Cub Scouts. BSA approves for wear on the BSA uniform the first religious emblem for Cub Scouts.

1957

Buddhists develop the Sangha religious emblem for Boy Scouts.

1957

Episcopal Church develops their standards for the God and Country religious emblem.

1959

Salvation Army develops their standards for the God and Country religious emblem.

1961

Catholic Committee develops the Pope Pius XII Award for Catholic Explorers.

1961

Unitarian-Universalists develop the Religion in Life religious emblem for UU Boy Scouts.

1964 [?]

Muslim religious emblem, "In the name of God," is approved.

1968

Catholic Committee revises the Pope Pius XII Award as the Pope Pius XII religious emblem, available to both older Boy Scouts and Explorers.

1976

Buddhists develop the Metta religious emblem for Cub Scouts.

1976

Protestant Committee develops the God and Family religious emblem for Cub Scouts.

1980

Catholic Committee develops the Light if Life religious emblem for Eastern Rite Catholic Boy Scouts.

1982

Protestant Committee develops the God and Me religious emblem for Tiger Cubs. BSA approves for wearing on the BSA uniform the first religious emblem for Tiger Cubs.

1984

Hindus develop the Darma religious emblem for Cub Scouts.

1988

Jewish Committee develops the Macabee religious emblem for Tiger Cubs.

1989

Society of Friends develops the following religious emblems: That of God for Cub Scouts; Spirit of Truth for Boy Scouts & Explorers; and Friends for adults.

1990

Churches of Christ develop the following religious emblems: Joyful Servant for Cub Scouts; Good Servant for Boy Scouts; Faithful Servant for adults.

1992

Catholic Committee develops the Light of Christ religious emblem for Tiger Cubs. The first emblem is presented in 1993.

1996

Jewish Committee develops the Etz Chaim Award for older Boy Scouts and Explorers.
